Ladybower Reservoir, Derbyshire 4 September

Wow we went to Ladybower again and set off on a good walk. It turned out to be a VERY LONG WALK ... SIX HOURS!  Even I was tired at the end of it. Mum told dad that I was waiting at the side of the road for our car to pick us up... she was right.

We didn't have many rests but we stopped for water a few times. Luckily we were in the shade of the trees much of the time or mum said she would have to carry George.

Mum said this is the dam where Dambusters was filmed. Waaay before my time.

There was lots of purple grass that mum said was heather.

We had walked about four hours at this point but I was still fighting fit. Well at least that's what I tried to prove to dad.

Mum said the reservoir was very low and we need more rain. She didn't come with us for our walk last night.

We didn't see many dogs while we were there, unless they were disguised like these two...

There were sheep everywhere and loads of rabbits, I think that is why we weren't allowed off our leads. Mum said it was the rules, I hope she didn't mean she couldn't trust us.

Things I love: Food glorious food. Treats. Walkies. Mummy, daddy and George (when he's not too rough). Cuddles and attention, lots of attention. Having my chest tickled, it makes me laugh and rub my eyes :-) Travelling in the car (there's usually a walk involved) Snuggling up with mum and dad in bed at the weekend. Licking the remains of George's food out of his beard. (See my poem 'Love and hate' further down)

Things I hate: Being bullied. Nasty dogs. The stray dogs round the pond. Rain. Bath time. (See my poem 'Love and hate' further down)

My favourite walks: Yes I love walks, the longer the better. Then when I go home, have a nap, I'm ready for another. Running in the fields, in the woods, anywhere I can run with the wind in my beard. The seaside and the beach, there's so many interesting smells. (avoid the rock pools though!)

Other pets who share my home: George, Black Miniature Schnauzer.

My favourite saying: Biscuit. Walkies. Dinner.

Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
