Michelle's Cottages comprises of two, charming, self-catering holiday cottages on the East Kent coast.
The Gate House offers a fairy-tale opportunity to stay in a mini-Gothic castle. With turret, beams and a canopied bed, this historic cottage sleeps two, plus two. Beams and other period touches feature alongside such present day luxuries as gas central heating, a fully-equipped kitchen and wi-fi.
The house dates to 1850 and is believed to have originally been the gate house to officers' accommodation for the Dover Castle garrison, who were quartered in the splendid Victoria Crescent.
An enchanting place for a honeymoon or to celebrate that special birthday or anniversary. The Gate House stands part way up a hill, close to Dover Castle and handy for the town itself with its full range of amenities.
The double bedroom, features a beautiful canopied bed which lends a romantic ambience.
The living/dining room, entered via the turreted porch, has a gas wood-burner and leather Chesterfield sofa bed (sleeping two).
Stour Cottage is just a short stroll from the town centre. It offers everything two people need including an enclosed courtyard garden and a four-poster bed. A cosy, intimate little hideaway.
Quietly situated, with tree-lined walks nearby, Stour Cottage is just 200 yards away from Sandwich town centre with it's many shops, restaurants, pubs & amenities. The courtyard garden has a patio table and chairs there is also a private garage.
East Kent offers a host of places to visit: the world-famous White Cliffs. Dover, Walmer and Deal Castles. The historic towns of Sandwich, with its narrow medieval streets and plentiful cafes, or Canterbury with its cathedral. Broadstairs has numerous sandy bays while Ramsgate and Folkestone boast pretty harbours and, of course, a cross-Channel trip by ferry or tunnel.
The cottages each welcome up to two canine companions.
