Dog Days Out - Beaches - Norfolk
Winterton beach in Norfolk
Winterton beach in Norfolk is dog friendly all year round, and you can sometimes walk for miles without seeing another soul! HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: We understand that from Nov. to Jan. a seal colony uses the beach, from Waxham Sands to Winterton-on-Sea, to mate and subsequently, give birth. It is, therefore, advisable to avoid the beach at these times as the pups may be at risk if dogs are too close. For this reason a 'Voluntary Beach Closure', may be in place during this period.
