Dogs are welcome in the garden and on the beach, all year round. On a lead at all times please.

We have designated doggie tables in Planters Cafe, so dog lovers can sit together. Dogs are also welcome on the Cafe garden terrace and in the picnic area. Just ask a member of staff which tables are suitable.

Water bowls are available outside the Visitor Centre and we offer complimentary poop scoops to dog owners on arrival. There are 4 dog bins provided within the garden.

Dogs are welcome in Silk Wood: a fantastic area to explore with your dog, on the Downs and in the main visitor area. The Old Arboretum is a dog free zone.

Dogs should be kept on a lead around the car parks, and also to be kept outside of the Westonbirt Restaurant, the Great Oak Hall, the shop and plant centre and the toilets.

Please make use of the dog litter bins. Bowls of water are usually available next to the Visitor Services office in the main visitor centre area to keep your dog hydrated.

Port Eliot is a magnificent Grade 1 Listed house and gardens.

Stowe Landscape Gardens - National Trust  

Dogs are welcome in gardens and parkland at Stowe, all year round.

Dog bins are provided throughout the gardens, plus there great places for a drink and good sniff around. Please keep your dog on a lead and picking up after it when in the landscape garden.

Penrose Estate Gunwalloe and Loe Pool - National Trust 

Wooded country around Cornwall's largest natural lake. Loe Pool, the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall, is cut off from the sea by a broad shingle bar heaped up by heavy Atlantic seas.

The surrounding Penrose Estate is a mixture of rich farmland and woodland around Loe Pool, through which there are many paths to explore.

Helmsley Walled Garden 

Historic 5-acre walled garden, restored from dereliction by staff and volunteers, open for visitors from April through till October.

Flowers, fruit and vegetables are grown and there is a special collection of Yorkshire apple varieties. Brand new clematis garden open and quiet spaces to sit in the Garden of Contemplation, Orchard or Physic Garden.

Runcorn, Cheshire 01928 569895 Dogs, on leads, are very welcome. We provide water bowls for dogs at both the museum and outside the walled garden cottage.

Although dogs are not allowed inside the walled garden there are extensive paths in the woodland and orchard surrounding the garden which are regularly used by dog walkers.

We ask all dog owners to please pick up after their dogs and provide a bin for this in the walled garden car park.

The Trentham Estate - award-winning gardens 

Dogs are welcomed into all areas of the gardens, lakeside, parkland and woodland, the only exceptions being the children's play area, barefoot walk and Capability Centre.

Dogs are welcome inside, and out, at Cadwaladers Cafe and also in the outside areas of the other eateries on the estate. To avoid having to take a muddy dog home, there is a Doggie Wash at Tretham Shopping Village - but remember to bring your own towel!

Dogs should be kept on a short lead at all times. Please remember to clean up after your dog, there are lots of bins on the Estate.

P.S. ...there are FAIRIES at the bottom of Trentham Gardens...

Greenway - National Trust - Home of Agatha Christie 

The beloved holiday home of the famous and much-loved author Agatha Christie and her family.

Dogs on leads are more than welcome at Greenway. Although we can't have dogs in the house, there is still plenty to keep them entertained, and the woodland and riverside are beautiful in rain or shine.

The courtyard is home to doggy waterbowls and tables to sit by while owners enjoy delicious refreshments from the cafè or Tack Room takeaway. There are also tethering rings where pooches can wait while owners wander around the house; the perfect place to rest after a long walk around the beautiful woodland garden.
