Stowe Landscape Gardens - National Trust  

Dogs are welcome in gardens and parkland at Stowe, all year round.

Dog bins are provided throughout the gardens, plus there great places for a drink and good sniff around. Please keep your dog on a lead and picking up after it when in the landscape garden.

A special trail has been designed for dogs and their well-behaved owners to enjoy the best bits of the gardens. A downloadable pdf of the guide is available from the National Trust website - just click on the 'visit website' link below.

Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve & Visitor Centre, 

Free self guided leaflets available in Visitor Information and reception. The Blue Trail - 45 minute circular path round the Major Oak. The Green Trail - takes about an hour The Red Trail - takes approximately two hourst. Suitable for all ages.

Dogs are welcome at Sherwood Forest Country Park but must be kept under control. Please clean up after your pet.

The Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park 

A 20 acre woodland garden in a spectacular setting.

Dogs on short leads are welcome. Please clean up after your dog and ensure they do not cause a nuisance to visitors.

NOTE: The topography of the garden dictates that they are steep in places and some paths have many steps.

Dogs, on leads, allowed on site in museum and cafe, and on main train rides, however, please do not allow them on the seats. Rides on some vehicles are restricted. Water bowls available around the site.

Corfe Castle Model Village 

See what the Castle and village would have looked like before its destruction by Cromwell's troops in 1646.

Dogs are welcome at the Model village: they are allowed, on a lead, throughout the whole attraction, including the tea room.

There is a water bowl at the entrance to the gift shop and on our terrace in the garden.

Croome - National Trust 

Dogs are very welcome at Croome You can take your dog anywhere on a lead around the park and lakeside.

There are areas where dogs are allowed off the lead 'providing there are no livestock in the area'.

Killhope, The North of England Lead Mining Museum 

Killhope is famous for its huge working waterwheel. You can experience the mineshop where miners lived, work as a "washerboy" looking for minerals and galena (lead ore).

Dogs are welcome to Killhope. However we respectfully ask that you keep them on the lead and under control while anywhere on site or in the car park. You will find water bowls near the picnic site – plus Killhopeburn runs through the site.

Dogs can go anywhere on site except Park Level Mine or in the cafe.

Dogs are welcome in the Cathedral providing they are on a lead, well-behaved and accompanied at all times by their owner(s).

Any dogs who bark consistently or are in distress/are disruptive can be asked to leave with their owners.

Dogs are not allowed on any tour that goes above ground-level (which includes the Library and High Parts Tours).

The Cafe offer a free homemade dog biscuit! Drinking water bowls situated around the Cathedral.

National Trust - Beach Walks with your Dog! 

Many of the National Trust beaches welcome dogs all year round. There are also a small number of beaches where there are restrictions in place during busy, or sensitive seasons for breeding wildlife.

Botanic Gardens & Cafe - Churchtown, Southport 

Nationally renowned for its floral displays. It is popular with local people and visitors alike. Located in picturesque Churchtown.

The park is open 7 days a week, every day of the year. A great day out for all the family.

Greenway - National Trust - Home of Agatha Christie 

The beloved holiday home of the famous and much-loved author Agatha Christie and her family.

Dogs on leads are more than welcome at Greenway. Although we can't have dogs in the house, there is still plenty to keep them entertained, and the woodland and riverside are beautiful in rain or shine.

The courtyard is home to doggy waterbowls and tables to sit by while owners enjoy delicious refreshments from the cafè or Tack Room takeaway. There are also tethering rings where pooches can wait while owners wander around the house; the perfect place to rest after a long walk around the beautiful woodland garden.

Dogs are not permitted to enter the Heligan Tearoom. However, there is a large undercover and very well sheltered seating / eating area, next to the tearoom, where dogs are welcome.
