Dog Days Out - Parks, Gardens and Grounds - Cornwall
Penrose Estate Gunwalloe and Loe Pool - National Trust 

Wooded country around Cornwall's largest natural lake. Loe Pool, the largest natural freshwater lake in Cornwall, is cut off from the sea by a broad shingle bar heaped up by heavy Atlantic seas.

The surrounding Penrose Estate is a mixture of rich farmland and woodland around Loe Pool, through which there are many paths to explore.

Dogs welcome at Penrose & Loe and out of main season at Gunwalloe

National Trust - Beach Walks with your Dog! 

Many of the National Trust beaches welcome dogs all year round. There are also a small number of beaches where there are restrictions in place during busy, or sensitive seasons for breeding wildlife.

Bude area Beaches 

Dog Friendly Beaches in the Bude area:
*Northcott Mouth Beach
*Sandymouth Bay
*Duckpool Beach
*Black Rock Beach (south of Widemouth Bay)
*Millook Beach
Seasonal Dog Restrictions apply to *Summerleaze Beach (dogs must be on leads between 10am and 6pm from 1st July to 31 August)
Seasonal Dog Bans apply on *Crooklets Beach from May 15th to September 30th between 10am and 6pm and *Widemouth Bay, main beach, from 15th May to 30th September between 10am and 6pm.

Ainsdale Beach - Southport  Dogs Accepted - Please keep under close control and take care not to disturb flocks of wading birds Poop scoop area. Dog free zone for 200m either side of the beach entrance at Shore Road. Please take note of beach safety flags and signage. Codes of conduct available. No Lifeguard cover.

Southport Beach  Dogs Accepted - Please keep under close control and take care not to disturb flocks of wading birds. Poop scoop area. Check the Southport website for details of where dogs are allowed as there is also a Dog free zone.

Winterton beach in Norfolk  Winterton beach in Norfolk is dog friendly all year round, and you can sometimes walk for miles without seeing another soul! HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: We understand that from Nov. to Jan. a seal colony uses the beach, from Waxham Sands to Winterton-on-Sea, to mate and subsequently, give birth. It is, therefore, advisable to avoid the beach at these times as the pups may be at risk if dogs are too close. For this reason a 'Voluntary Beach Closure', may be in place during this period.

Danes Dyke Beach & Naure Reserve - between Flamborough & Bridlington  Dogs are allowed on the beach here throughout the year. There are woodland trails within the Nature Reserve - dogs should be kept on a lead and you are requested to please clear up after them.

It should be noted that there are a lot of steps and steep paths.

Cotswold Water Park  Cotswold Water Park is the ideal place to bring your furry friend for a day out, with miles of walks. Please note: Dogs are not allowed near the beach area and playgrounds in Cotswold Country Park and Beach, but there is a designated dog swimming area there. Whitby Abbey - English Heritage  Well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome at Whitby Abbey. Whitby & Sandsend BEACH: Although there are dog restrictions along the main beaches of both Whitby, and Sandsend, from May to September, there is a good stretch of beach between the two towns, that is dog friendly.

East beach: before 10am and after 6pm. Mainly sand and great fun for dogs who love to run in the sea as it is gently shelving.
West beach : dogs are allowed at any time, however, between 1st May and 30th Sept they MUST BE ON A LEAD

There are three and a half miles of beach and plenty of dunes to explore. Dogs are welcome at Studland but, for the enjoyment of others, restrictions are in place at certain times of year.
