I was found wandering the streets and was taken in by a kind lady who fed me but couldn't keep me. I was then taken to kennels run by a local animal charity where I slept alone on a bed of hay. I spent a couple of months there hoping someone would come for me. Then one day mum and dad came and it was love at first sight!
I was really excited to be going to my new home. When we arrived I had a good look around and tried out my new big comfy bed. There was a safety gate to stop me going into other rooms. That didn't last long as I jumped straight over it! My first big walk was to the fields. Dad let me off the lead and I headed straight for the trees, jumped up, clung on to a branch with my teeth and swung about, chewing as hard as I could until it came off. I think they were a bit shocked that I could do this.
It was also a shock for them when I met Reggie (the cat) for the first time - we had a bit of a fight. I'm used to him now though, despite the teasing which I repay by chasing him down the garden path when no-one's looking.
I love my home - not much for visiting other people's though.
I've really settled in now. I have at least two walks per day and sleep upstairs on mum n dad's bed. They've spent a fortune on toys for me but they don't last too long. I can't help but chew them to bits. Squeaky toys are the best.
