my name is scout i was born in october 2005 and my name at birth was "twm fach ddu" which means little black tom. i was 6weeks old when i was bought as a xmas gift for my human mum.

i was a surprise too. but i was loved to the moon and back. at about 3 or 4 months old my human noticed a funny way in which i walked so took me to tha vet. after months of trying to work it out i was diagnosed with genetic hip displasia. the vet wanted to put me down but my human wouldnt so we went to another, kinder vet who said that we could have lots of options to help me aside from an operation. supplements in my food, an injection once a month and plenty of swimming and here i am 3 years later and is as well as can be. my human was loneny when i came to her and then she met another human and they became friends and he had a dog called chloe who is a minature schnauser and we get along fine. we have a very happy life and we have a special van in which we can travel and every weekend our humans take us to some wonderful places and we even go on holiday!!
