March 2010

Friday 12 March - Monday 15 March

We've had a very tiring weekend because mum wasn't at work. Friday (even though she didn't have to get up early) she made us get up and drive dad to work for 6.30am! Then she took us for a walk and a run round a nearby pond and drove us back home. We had a nap seeing as we didn't get a lie in, while mum did some household chores.

Then she took us in the car to a garage and left it while we went for a walk. Great, we could go for another run until it was time to pick the car up. But when we got back the car was poorly, and mum wasn't very pleased because it was going to cost a lot of money to make better. She said she hated cars, so do I but she makes me ride in them.

We set off walking back home again off our leads till we reached the main road. We haven't managed to go off lead much for some time so it was great to have a run and sniff about. Well I was flipping tired when I got home I can tell you, but Max begged for us to go in the garden while mum was busy and until dad came home and gave us both a fuss. He had to go straight out for some money for 'the car' and Max started pacing the floor again because it was our usual walk time. Mum grabbed her coat and our leads and we eventually met up with dad for another walk. When are we ever going to get a good sleep? Well we did but went out again before bedtime.

Saturday we got up and walked to pick the car up. Again we went off our leads and had a play with 2 or 3 dogs on the way. When we got home we played in the garden until dad went to the match and mum took us in the car to see our aunty and nephew. We went for yet another walk, this time around the reservoir, again off our leads. We saw a few dogs and they were all friendly. Another good day out especially as we had a big meaty chew in the evening, what a treat.

Sunday we walked in the fields and we saw Bengi the springer and Holly the dally but they had a new friend, it's Bengi's new sister Squeaky. She was a touch timid briefly but then was very playful. She's the same size as me but mum said I'll get a surprise soon as she'll be bigger soon. Then we spent most of the day in the garden while mum cleaned the windows and dad did some chores indoors. Later we went for another walk but this time on lead on the street.

Monday we went in the fields again. Mum said we were very good again, especially when we saw the horses and kept well out of their way. We saw Bengi and Squeaky again but she was a touch rough, so I had to tell her to mind her manners, she is a pup after all. We went home while mum did some jobs and then back in the fields again... weeeeheeee. This time we saw several dogs and Benson the boxer. Now... time for a nap while mum goes to work...

Things I love: Mummy, Daddy and Max of course. Having cuddles. Playing till I drop. Toys, balls and balloons. I just love balloons. Playing football. Mum says I could be professional! My cuddly duck. Food and treats. Walkies. People and MOST dogs. Snuggling up in bed with mum and dad at the weekend.

Things I hate: Huskies definately huskies. Water, rain and getting bathed. The stray dogs round the pond. The cats invading our garden. I hated snow but now I quite like it.

My favourite walks: All my walks are favourite walks ;-) In the fields where I can go off my lead. Seaside and the beach especially off my lead. When can we go to the seaside again?

Other pets who share my home: Max, Salt and Pepper Miniature Schnauzer.

My favourite saying: Yabba dabba doo! When can we go to the seaside again? Biscuit. Dinner. Walkies.
