Ladybower Reservoir, Derbyshire 4 September
We had a really long walk around Ladybower, it took us SIX HOURS! My dog I was cream crackered! The week before we had walked round a different part and it had taken us 2 1/2 hours, so mum and dad thought it would be good to try a different route. Well we made it in one piece, took plenty of water, a bit of food and a lot of energy.
Mum said that the reservoir was very low and we need more rain to fill it up! Judging by our walk last night, I think she must be mistaken. Humans, they know nothing.
I kept looking through the gate on the dam. It looked like you could walk over the bridge at one point. I just wished we could have so we didn't have to walk so far.
It took us about four hours to reach this bridge and then had another two hours to go. We didn't know that at the time and wondered if we'd ever get home.
The down side was that we couldn't go off our leads but we walked to heel and were very well behaved. We saw lots of rabbits, some were dead! We saw sheep too, all over, not like at home where we just see the odd field with some in. They didn't want to talk though and kept running away.
