Northern schnauzer fun day out 18/07/10
The day before the fun day out mum took us for a new coat, collar and lead. She said we might need them for our holiday because we are going to be doing a lot of walking regardless of the weather. Here we are demonstrating them in the garden.
Here's my old (well young) pal Sparkle. We picked up where we left off from last year.
This we are all together having a rest.
We spent most of the day playing, I was cream crackered when I got home.
I enjoyed the fun day out more than ever this year because I had Sparkle all to myself. Issac... she's my girlfriend now! ;-)
We saw loads of schnauzers, played together, played games and went home extremely tired. Some even wore fancy dress, now there is NO WAY I'M DOING THAT!

Trip to the seaside 24/07/10
We went to the seaside today. Dad wanted to check the directions and mum went along with him because she said we'd all get to play on the beach. As usual we got very excited when we got there. As we walked to the beach, dad said how nice the fish and chips smelled but it hadn't opened yet. He said we would call on our way back.
We walked for hours, I found a funny shaped football. Mum said it was a float, of course it was a float, it hadn't sank. Mum said we were very good but told dad we were both tiring, even Max. Eevntually we stopped had a sandwich (we had a couple of pieces of meat and biscuits) then we turned back. I found a tennis ball and carried it most of the way back but I kept dropping it so mum put it in her bad till we got home.
We passed the chip shop again and I dragged mum to the door. 'What?' she asked. 'What do you think?' I thought! I was starving... can't you remember what dad said? 'Oh George wants those chips you promised', she said. 'but it's closed now' We had walked that long, it was closed again but I could smell the cooking, it just wasn't fair. 'We'll have to buy some next time we're here George' she smiled. Hey ... this is no smiling matter ... my belly feels like my throat's been cut. I'm keeping her to that though.
We slept all the way home, the journey seemed much shorter than it did coming.
We went outside and dad was opening the car doors again. Even Max didn't want to get in!
'Come on boys, we're not going as far today, we're off to the reservoir'. We got in, had a short ride and went to one of our walks. The weather was good, not too hot, not raining and a breeze coming off the water. We saw a few dogs, had a good sniff around and went back home for Sunday dinner. We don't have them often because mum and dad say they take too long to prepare and we can be out walking or doing jobs.
Before dinner, our aunty and nephew came round and I had a really great play with him. I was exhausted. Then we tucked into our dinner. Mmmmm it's turning out to be a really good weekend. Then dad took Max to walk to granddads, I felt cheated, I stood at the gate crying and mum said I should have gone to dad when he said. I went for a short walk with mum then.
I think I overdid it though, as I was too tired to move later and ached when dad picked me up. Mum says I haven't to overdo it now and when we have a BBQ, I haven't to run round with my nephew.
