Dog Lovers Brave the chills!

How far would you go to help your favourite breed of dog?
Not as far as the supporters of the GSD Helpline I am sure.
On one of the few sunny days this year, supporters and dogs gathered at  Ryedale Folk Museum and stripped off in the best possible taste to create photos for a calendar.

The money goes to the Helpline's Rocky Trust Fund which exists to help German Shepherds in distress all over the UK.

At this point we intended to tell you how to order your copy of the calendar but we're pleased to be able to tell you that the calendar has already SOLD OUT. However, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to remind you all of those lovely summer days when it was warm enough to strip off ...and, of course, give you the chance to find out more about theGSD Helpline.

Details can be found at www.gsdhelpline.com/calspon.htm

Save Money on Veterinary Treatments

I'm pretty sure that all of us have, at one time or another, had to take their dog to visit a veterinary practice. And we really wouldn’t be able to manage without them but, equally, which one of us wouldn’t jump at the chance to save a few pounds whenever possible.

Petmeds was founded by pet owners in order to help other pet owners escape from the high prices charged by some veterinary practices for animal medication.

They offer the exact same products as a traditional veterinary practice and items are dispensed by UK qualified practicing veterinary surgeons but at up to 60% discount.

Petmeds offers over 2,000 items for all of your animal healthcare including prescription items. New sections covering toys & treats and grooming have recently been added, together with pet food from the extremely popular Royal Canin Veterinary Range. All items are UK genuine products.

Dog Friendly Event

If, after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas you just can't decide what to do on New Year's Day take a look at what's happening at Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden, South Walsham, Norfolk at 2pm.

A New Year's Day Guided Walk, with mulled wine and mince pies, will be held at The Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden. See the Fairhaven Garden website for full details.

Calling all Lesbians!

Well known lesbian magazine DIVA have contacted Dog Friendly Britain to see of we can help them to find a lesbian who either breeds dogs, is a dog trainer, puppy walker or dog whisperer and who would be willing to be interviewed for a pet-themed article to feature in the March ’07 issue.
