Image: Simply Special competition petbuddi is a revolutionary new service to keep track of your dog. It is unique and simple, allowing owners to know where to look for their dogs using the latest GSM mobile technology.

160,000 dogs go missing each year and when a pet goes missing it can be as heart rending as losing a member of the family. petbuddi can help prevent this from happening. Designed by dog lover Sara Murray, petbuddi is a tracking device. It works via a non obtrusive component that simply threads onto the dogs existing collar. It is light in weight, waterproof and cannot be felt by the dog.

To enter all you need to do is visit our website @ www.simplyspecial.uk.com and tell us… “How many character spaces are allowed for the top edge of the plate?”

Email your answer to us @ enquiries@simplyspecial.uk.com
Entries by 30th September please.

Using GSM mobile technology once you’ve attached petbuddi, you can track the dog instantly via text, phone or online. The moment it is applied you will receive information of the dog’s whereabouts and for those with WAP enabled mobile phones, you can receive a link to a map showing the pets exact location. Please visit our website for more details

Indigo Collar Tags

Few people know of the Control of Dogs Order (1992) or will be aware that ‘every dog’ in a public place must wear a collar and identity tag. With a possible hefty fine for non-compliance, it is more important than ever to ensure your pet can be identified if found. The Order states that the dog MUST have the owners name and address on an ID tag attached to the collar. This information can be in the form of a house number and postcode. Microchipping is not recognised by the Order and is not accepted as a suitable alternative.

Indigo Collar Tags founder John Cook identified the need for a better, more secure form of ID tag when in July 2005, one of his dogs went missing.

John says “I now feel confident that I am keeping my pets safe with a tag that won't fall off or become unreadable. I want my customers to have the same peace of mind and so every tag is backed by a lifetime guarantee”

Image: Old Rectory Cottages

The Old Rectory offers the opportunity to unwind in the tranquil surroundings of a Victorian rectory. Situated on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. The grounds of almost seven acres, are surrounded by farmland on three sides, and are a haven for wildlife.

The four newly converted one bedroom holiday homes have been decorated and furnished to a very high standard, whilst retaining period features where possible. The village pub is a short stroll away, whilst the market town of Bungay (3 miles) offers a good range of shops. Norwich with its excellent cultural and shopping facilities is 19 miles away.

Although the Old Rectory Cottages are self-catering cottages you also have the option to spoil yourself. Jeannie and Keith Parker, owners of the cottages, offer two or three course meals prepared, whenever possible, using fresh, local, seasonal products. Not only will they cook, and serve the meal for you, but they also do the washing up! Picnic baskets for you to take-out are also available. Included in these are a range of sandwiches/rolls with luxury fillings plus pies & cakes. Once again, all home made and locally sourced. Also available are special Dog's Dinner Breaks! So what's the deal? Two nights accommodation in one of the cottages. Local ingredients in your fridge to enable you to cook a hearty breakfast at a time that suits you. Two 2-course Dinners prepared for you each evening and served in your cottage. A welcome pack containing tea, coffee, cake, etc And lastly, some Dog Treats! Well, you didn't think they'd forget the dog did you?
