'Billy No Mates – fight fleas, ticks and mites – Naturally!

CSJ Specialist Canine Feeds introduced their new flea, mites and tick repellent herbalmix last summer and were immediately inundated by letters and emails saying how effective it is.

Ceri Rundle, Border Collie breeder and owner of CSJ says, “We had brilliant results in trials and have since helped numerous owners to stop fleas, lice, mites and ticks fast with this all natural combination of Mint (also good for digestion!), Seaweed, Fenugreek, Lemon Balm and Neem leaves.

Like the rest of our herbs, Billy No Mates is simply sprinkled over food and, as well as repelling ‘boarders’, is great for skin and coat condition. One resealable tub will last a dog for the whole flea season and costs just £12 from our online shop.

Win a Canny ® Collar! Looking out of the window on these cold wintry mornings, the idea of taking the dog for a walk can sometimes appear less appealing than an extra half an hour under the duvet, particularly so when your bundle of energy is the one taking you for a walk and pulling your arm from its socket! Walking your dog should be a pleasure but a pulling steam train of a dog can make walks a chore – as a consequence, we can end up walking our dogs less and feeling guilty as they give you that ‘where’s my morning walk?’ look. So what to do? The solution may well be a simple, award-winning training collar which prevents pulling on lead in a kind, safe and effective way.

The Canny ® Collar was invented five years ago by Brian Smith, a traditional Scottish horseman, based on a bitless horse controller he had developed to control a difficult stallion. Brian scaled down his new invention for dogs and the Canny ® Collar was born. Since then, over 40,000 have been sold worldwide and demand is escalating as dog trainers, vets, pet product retailers and dog owners discover its unique features and benefits. Dog owners have voted with their purchasing power, resulting in the Canny ® Collar being voted the Best New Product for 2006 by the Pet Product Retail Association in the UK.

The key to the Canny ® Collar is its simplicity. It is made up of a conventional flat collar with a traditional buckle fastening for security and the lead attaches to a thinner slip line, made from soft yet strong material, which then fits over the nose of your dog. Unlike other dog walking devices which fasten under the chin, the lead fastens behind your dog's head. This is an innovative and unique design which means that only gentle pressure is required to prevent pulling - there is no yanking of the head to one side nor any riding up into the eyes. The testimonials and videos on www.cannyco.com show the remarkable changes in the behaviour of ‘difficult’ shelter dogs that were proving hard to rehome. The fact that the RSPCA report increased rehoming rates using the Canny ® Collar means dog owners can be assured that it is a kind, safe and effective training tool.

All entrants will receive a notification by e-mail from The Canny Company and the winning collars sent out directly. Good luck!
