Breahead B&B - NOW OPEN! Newly opened this month the Braehead B&B, in Angus, Scotland, offers three en-suite rooms with outstanding views of the Grampian Mountains and Angus Glens. And, as the Braehead is only half-an-hour from beautiful, unspoilt, dog friendly beaches - what more could any dog ask? The numbers of dogs per room is not limited but 'numbers will depend on size and breed'. As owners of a Golden Retreiver and a Newfoundland they obviously appreciate that some breeds need more space than others! One of the very first quotes in the Braehead visitors book shows that the when the Braehead say they're dog friendly they really do mean it "Wonderful, an extremely comfortable home from home. A delight to find a ‘place’ that says Dog’s Welcome and means it! Food outstanding as was the welcome. We’ll be back!" |

Dave Wilson of Helsbury Park, tells us just how dog friendly they, and their cottages are, as eight dogs (yes, you did read that correctly - 8) take a break at Broadview cottage. Dave says “Well, we were a bit surprised ourselves, but Broadview recently housed a family and their 8 dogs for a stay. It made us wonder if anyone has ever taken more dogs on a holiday in the UK? And if they did where did they take them? |

We think this must be the most dogs ever allowed in any accommodation at one time. BUT if you know different please tell us! |

Winners of the first Sussex Pet Friendly Hotel Awards, The Silverdale, are this year sponsoring The Bravest Pet in Sussex Award, and donating the prize of three nights bed & breakfast. The Silverdale most certainly deserved their own award, as they positively encourage you to bring your dogs down to dinner & breakfast (subject to the approval of other guests) so long as they are able to sit quietly under the table. Provided in your room will be water & food bowls and also a 'doggy' towel for those wet and muddy moments! |
