A couple of year ago on a tour of Norfolk we discovered a very dog friendly place, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden.
The 131 acres of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad is situated at South Walsham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Many ancient oaks and beech trees, including the fabulous 950 year-old King Oak, line the three miles of woodland walks which meander through the wonderful gardens. 15 little rustic bridges cross the waterways leading down to the broad.
Whatever the season of the year Fairhaven has a superb display with Spring bringing the ever popular daffodils, wild primroses, wood anemones, bluebells, rhododendrons and azeleas. Massed wid flowers bring colourful butterflies and dragonflies to the gardens in summer.
