Woodchester Park - National Trust
nr Stroud, Gloucestershire. The tranquil wooded valley contains a 'lost landscape' with remains of an 18th- and 19th-century landscape park with a chain of five lakes. Park Mill Pond is the last of these lakes and features a man-made island that is now a heronry. Large carp can also be seen in the waters. Dogs - please keep dogs under close control and on leads where requested. Please remember to clean up after your dog in all areas.

This very large country park hosts a number of walking and cycling routes, which link to the Trans Pennine Trail and Route 6 Sustrans. Leisure lake offers many watersports activities and cycle hire, events are held throughout the year, three fishing areas and an ideal place to enjoy the outdoors.
Great venue for a picnic, BBQ's are to be off the ground or visit the stables cafe with outdoor seating for your dog.
Customers are to ensure their dogs are under control if off the lead in the park.

The part that dogs are allowed on is flat and sandy with easy access to the water. However the area is only really about 200 sq. metres (maybe better suited to small dogs). There is a road next to the beach (the promenade) where you can park (pay & display).
