Dog Days Out - Beaches

Scotlands Beaches - West Coast

In Scotland we encourage responsible access to most areas of the country, including beaches. All our award beaches will have areas near by, or zoned where dogs are allowed, as long as their owners keep them under control (not to scare small children, or eat people's sandwiches....), and they pick up their pets feaces and dispose of them appropriately.

Where can I walk with my dog in the North York Moors

You should always keep your dog on a lead or to heel on moorland to protect rare birds and wildlife. If you want to exercise your dog more freely, then please consider a walk with your dog in the national park away from the moorland areas.

The weblink below will help you find some dog friendly routes in the national park on which you can walk your dog.
